if it turns out (which probably indeed will) that we’ve been seeing mirror!lorca all season, they’re playing it so fucking well that i actually officially can’t. because we will be played as good as the disco crew is being played and i love it. i love how they probably won’t pull the idiotic “he’s evil and immoral because he’s from the mirrorverse” card. all the evil and immoral shit he does has a purpose and is so well-planned that fuck meeeeee man.

Discovery 1x11 spoiler

I’ve got this theory. “Our” Lorca is in fact “mirror-Lorca” who somehow managed to escape into the federation universe and has been trying to go back to the mirror universe the entire time, no matter the cost (I.e. forcing Stamets to risk his own life using the spore drive)

I share this theory! And he brought Burnham back to get him back in good graces with… somebody? Maybe the Emperor?

Note: I’m not the one receiving those messages, because I’m not into shipping, but I see the people I follow get them and it’s still infuriating as all hell.

If you send these kinds of messages, please think about what the hell you’re doing with your life. This is ridiculous and immature and dangerous and overractive. If the only reason you enjoy a TV show is so that you can form opinions and then use anonymity to send these nasty messages to people, then maybe not watching that TV show is the healthiest thing for you.

There’s something enormously satisfying about my mapping process. I love drawing walls and annotating squares, even though I know I’m recording all this detail for no one. Why do I need to know that this square had a treasure chest when I’ve already opened it and I’ll never be coming back? Who am I making these maps for, exactly? Not you; there are already dozens of examples of the maps online, probably more accurate than I’m making. Not myself; in the unlikely event that I ever play this game a second time, I’ll almost certainly throw away the maps and create them anew. But purposeless as they are, I wouldn’t dream of not making them. The enticement of one more square, one more room, one more corridor is what turns midnight to 03:30 in what seems like seconds. It’s possible that I’m more addicted to mapping than the game itself.
