Julian Bashir has been on Cardassia for six months. He thinks he’s adapted pretty well. But when it’s time to learn the language, he realizes he’s nowhere near as clever as he thought.

Set post-canon, about a year and a half after the series ends. Light stuff, with occasional dips into darker territory.

These are the 6 Star Trek books I got and I’m excited to read later.

I got one of them purely because it looked like it’d give me some solid Sarek/Amanda Vulcan feels.

I just repurchased it and its sequel, “The IDIC Epidemic”, as they are thoroughly enjoyable business. Lots of tasty Vulcan headcanons too.

I’m sorry, I’ve got to talk about Dukat’s new bling in ‘Apocalypse Rising’. Assuming that all those embellishments are Klingon, was Damar just blankly watching the Gul plucking a party of corpses clean? Damar is just completely desensitised to seeing his reptilian jewellery rack jingle around the bridge, like a man who’s father has marched around the house dressed as Napoleon since he was six. 

Also, did anyone else see how Damar was grinning after Dukat unnecessarily blasted that bird of prey to bits? He looked like he just saw a puppy walk across the street.
