Desert Rain Frog
The Desert Rain Frog is an unusual little frog native to a small area in Namibia and South Africa. It has eyes that bulge out of its head, a short snout and limbs, spade-like feet with webbed toes, and a puffed up appearance. On the underside it has a transparent area of skin through which its internal organs can be seen. Its color is yellowish-brown and it often has sand adhering to its skin. But what is most peculiar to this species is their high-pitched distress call that most resembles a squeaky pet toy!
Grumpy frog!
