I know it’s stupid, but I just amused myself playing with this Star Trek fanfic prompt generator. Thank you to whoever entered all the many variables!

The one good thing from The Chase: Gul Ocett.
But not JUST Gul Ocett. Gul Ocett dressed to make Garak jealous, and look at that Romulan.
J. Herbin’s anniversary ink has been rebranded to Jacques Herbin - Améthyste de l'Oural; nd it’s dark rich purple with silver dust this year.
So while looking through the rules of acquisition, as you do, something caught my eye.
Rule number 4:
“A woman wearing clothes is like a man in the kitchen.”
I find this very interesting considering not only is Quark making his living serving food (sure he owns the bar but he also directly waits on customers and we do see him create recipes on occasion instead of just replicating it) but in Way of the Warrior we’re told he served eight years on a ferengi freighter. As a cook.
And he carried a disruptor pistol for those years.
My guess is that if a man in the kitchen is like a woman wearing clothes, the cook is not exactly a respected position. And with ferengi being so aggressive towards anyone lower on the social ladder than them, pretty sure that pistol was not just because of food complaints.
