the first screencap is the English translation of Vulcan dialogue, from 1982′s The Wrath of Khan. the second screencap is from the alien dialogue from 2016′s Star Trek: Beyond. they kept the font, all these years later, and I am fucking blown away by that attention to detail.

Having a bad day?
Just take a look at the Japanese emperor caterpillar! they’re sure to cheer you up! they’re happy to see anyone!

These guys really love to peek, and their cute horns make it all the more better!

Soon. they actually just mean that hugs are coming to you soon, there’s nothing to worry about~

They’re also very silly.

What do you mean I can’t listen to leaf?

They’re also very little but still love meeting new friends!

Look at this tiny one, stepping into the world to start peeking!

Tiny peekers in training! they’re doing well.

Need I mention cat ears?
When you’re feeling sad, just think about these emperor caterpillars. they’d probably love to peek and see a pretty human with a smile on it’s face.

“What is that on your badge, Captain Carrot?”
“Mission motto, sir,” said Carrot cheerfully. “Morituri Nolumus Mori. Rincewind suggested it.”
“I imagine he did,” said Lord Vetinari, observing the wizard coldly. “And would you care to give us a colloquial translation, Mr Rincewind?”
“Er…” Rincewind hesitated, but there really was no escape. “Er… roughly speaking, it means, ‘We who are about to die don’t want to’, sir.”

There’s “Three Vipers” a “Sword of Stars” and a bunch of vague prophecies from Bajoran Nostradamus in this one.
But what’s really the best part of this is this lady who has the hots for O’Brien.
