Yes, that Buffy fic I threatened is coming along. Which means I’ll soon need accountability readers. Not beta-readers, not yet, just people who’ll let me send them a draft every five thousand words, reading optional. Small milestones to maintain ongoing momentum, telling me I’m doing fine even when I’m not feeling it, that sort of thing. Checking character voices and plot pacing comes much later.

Personal headcanon: Cardassia is filled with Brutalist architecture like this. I’m not sure it would be moreso or less so after the Dominion war. Reinforced concrete is pretty great after a war. I probably developed this idea from all the Brutalist and Soviet-style architecture blogs I follow, including @architectureofdoom, which is probably my favorite.

I’m listening to the “Fascination” episode of The Rules of Acquisition Podcast, and just got to the point where they mention how, in the shooting script, Lwaxana heard about the Founders from Admiral Nechayev, because they’re apparently BFFs.  And guess what?  IT’S TRUE (just ignore the typo of her name):

I’m laughing at the latest DS9 documentary update because:

only rules spoken on screen =/= only those written or approved by Ira!!  it’s an overlapping subset, but not completely the SAME, because THIS BOOK exists:

written (or at least approved), as you will notice, by Ira Steven Behr, which definitely has rules not spoken aloud on the show.  

anyway, it’s still mislabeled in the most nitpicky way, so I’m amused
