Laundry is a super fucking exhausting series of events.
But when you feel like this, Anon, I want you to focus on what’s in those brackets and how good it feels to be able to put in those three exclamation points.
If something is super hard for you to be motivated about doing, try to always see the accomplishment in doing it. For example, it is very difficult for me to wake up early because I have chronic fatigue. I try to ignore the days when I don’t wake up until 1. That’s just how it is. But I always feel proud of myself when I wake up at 9 or 10. Even though that is well after other people would be out of bed and already at work. It’s hard for ME, so it’s an achievement. (And I also ask those around me to be supportive about things I am proud of).
Also, hot tip for overwhelming chores: I always divide things up into little chunks. And I write them down. So rather than telling yourself to do laundry, you could list: “Sort clothes into colours”, “wash first load”, “hang clean clothes to dry”. And then you get to cross things of the list frequently, and so you feel like you are making progress. You can also intersperse other chores throughout the list too.
Hope some of this helps!

Dukat: Would you, could you, on a boat?
Kira:
I could not, would not, on a boat.
I will not, will not, with a goat.
I will not like you in the rain.
I will not like you on a train.
Not in the dark! Not in a tree!
Not in a car! You let me be!
I do not like you in a box.
I do not like you with a fox.
I will not like you in a house.
I do not like you with a mouse.
I do not like you here or there.
