‘Jeeves,’ I recollect saying, on returning to the apartment, ‘who was the fellow who on looking at something felt like somebody looking at something? I learned the passage at school, but it has escaped me.’
‘I fancy the individual you have in mind, sir, is the poet Keats, who compared his emotions on first reading Chapman’s Homer to those of stout Cortez when with eagle eyes he stared at the Pacific’
‘The Pacific, eh?’
‘Yes, sir. And all his men looked at each other with a wild surmise, silent upon a peak in Darien.’

honestly my favorite distinction between TOS and AOS characters has gotta be chekov. AOS chekov is a precious curly-haired cinnamon roll prodigy child who probably shoots flower petals and pixie dust from his eyes whenever he’s happy, and would do absolutely anything to impress the captain.

then TOS chekov over here is pure sass, sin, and vodka wrapped in a bowlcut and some extra russian grump seasoning to top the whole thing off.

N3S Alpha

Gaming project from Andrew Peterson is a NES emulator for the Microsoft Hololens:

Showing off a few compatible games on the HoloLens port of N3S.

Like I said in the last video description, the HoloLens won’t run most games full speed, especially when the editor is built-in and people make more complicated 3D meshes for the sprites. I’ve also had to hand-tune and optimize the app for HoloLens in a way that won’t work with many games to get a consistent enough FPS.

But… it is really cool.
