"quark is confounded by the door's refusal to budge. smacks into it like a confused bird" Does anyone ever actually even try to keep him out of ops like, for seven seasons he just invites himself into everything classified and it's like the entire upper officers list just kind of shrugs like THERE'S NOTHING WE CAN DO HE'S ALREADY IN HERE. This is before anyone on the entire station (besides Odo, even if he won't admit it) even likes him!

ds9shameblog answered:

they have a spray bottle full of water that they keep next to one of the consoles so they can spritz him until he leaves but no one ever remembers it’s there

he probably wouldn’t even notice anyway

This is so cool: the Apple II game Gumball, which is unusually rare and now freely available online, has an elaborate secret that took three decades to discover.

Think of how many more little secrets like this we don’t know about – and how many more games like Gumball have been almost totally unknown for most of the time they’ve existed. There’s always something to discover.

44 Things You Probably Didn’t Know about Therapy

howtogrowthefuckup

If you’ve been a follower here for very long, you know 2 things about HTGTFU’s approach to mental health: 1. I believe strongly in reaching out for help, especially professional help, and 2. I am not a mental health professional. That basically boils down to not posting much about mental health in general, but today I’m breaking that rule to talk about therapy.

There is so very much about therapy that the media gets wrong (even the shows based on this!) and I think it’s not only given people an unrealistic idea of what therapy is and how it works, but it’s created a culture of secrecy and shame around seeking help. So I’m here today to help clear up some misconceptions about therapy: what it is, what you can expect, and why you need to stop feeling bad (or worse, shaming others) for going.

I do want to, once again, issue a disclaimer that I am not a mental health professional and that much of this is based on my own experiences and the experiences of others.
