FINGER LAKES—CENTRAL NEW YORK STATE
The Finger Lakes in Central New York State are 11 parallel lakes with long, narrow shapes. They are aligned north to south, and resemble fingers on a hand. The Iroquois believed that the lakes were evidence of marks from the Great Spirit’s hand. The lakes formed in the past two million years after carving by glaciers eroded pre-existing stream valleys in the region.
Doctor Who: Adventure in the Tardis is a very cool Voxatron action adventure with a Robotron-style control scheme that takes the 11th doctor on a mission to save a Koronian ship from the Daleks.
It’s a challenging game, with some nice nods to the TV series and some very cool voxel based visual effects – especially when the Doctor dies (which is often!)

And, like the one Analogue and 8BitDo made for the NES, it seems super useful, actually. The Retro Receiver pairs with 8BitDo’s various wireless controllers (like the SNES style one and the arcade stick above), as well as Wiimotes, Wii U Controller Pro, PS3, and PS4 controllers. It’s certainly better than SNES extension cables, which I have had to chain together at times.

Summer Sewing List #20: Gingham seersucker jumpsuit
My first ever me-made jumpsuit and I love it. The bottom is the Helen’s Closet Winslow Culotte pattern and the top is my bodice sloper, nearly perfect finally! I wore it on a hot day, and it’s lovely and breezy and scrunchy and I love it.
