No, what I saw was a recently-fired pistol, with a live round up the spout because the slide hadn’t locked back on empty, and a Finger On The Bang Switch. Bad trigger discipline! Naughty trigger discipline!
It shows what researching for fiction that’s not sword-and-sorcery will do to a writer’s perception. :-/
