In terms of directions, there's definitely Inside and Outside. So they might describe things in regards to depth and distance both to the quaddie in question (the object near your head, your rightmost-lower hand) and the environment at large (the object closer to your right wall, being closer to the inner part of the room). Not "the north wall" or "the left side of the room" but "the outermore wall" and "the centermost spot."
