based on my own experience, i would add one other thesis: ‘zero negative’. the idea being that when one’s mind wanders into negative thinking ―about oneself, others, world events― realize and circumvent that thougt stream as quickly as possible and switch it off by reaffirming that we all have our ups and downs, our own good side and bad; that’s core to the human condition, so we shouldn’t dwell on past mistakes; we can only try to do better right now… ‘be your own hero’.
