like this would make sense if it were from the point of view of someone who only or primarily called him Mollari, but it looks like it’s shit about him, happening from his POV/in his head.  Londo wouldn’t think of himself as ‘Mollari’ wtf, what a weirdly distancing thing to do when talking about a character’s thoughts why would you do this

Old Star Trek novels do this too. “Kirk thought of his friends, his life.” Okay, but his private name for himself is probably not Kirk?
It was so common that when Diane Duane DIDN’T do it, it struck me as ODD.
