Romance Authors Invited to Submit Their Manuscripts to St. Martin’s SMP Swerve Imprint

St. Martin’s Press has debuted a new imprint called SMP Swerve, a digital first romance imprint. The publisher plans to release 12 new titles monthly.

The acquisition editors have opened submissions to curate new manuscripts from both agented and unagented authors. They are seeking compelling and varied voices, engaging stories, and authors who want to build their own platform and brand. All sub-genres of romance are welcomed, including erotic, paranormal, contemporary, historical, romantic suspense, and new adult.

I think that the legipillar outfit for babies is a fine idea, but that baby is developmentally way past the legipillar stage and is going to fall over. The baby is going to faceplant. Kid is like 3 years old. Dude. That kid is thinking about getting into a good college. That potato bag design is gonna hold him back

Good take; this is a situation I did not account for, and I reckon that compared to a toddler, most adults are less likely to forget/ignore that their legs are in a sleeping bag and try to take off running.
