Two DS9 Fanfic WIPS
There are a whole bunch of works-in-progress I’m following but here are two that are definitely active and which I’m loving:
Salt in an Open Wound

This parallels Garak’s tale, told in “Notions*,” and is Kelas’ story, from the time he was sent to the labor camp, through the end of the Occupation, into a Cardassia ravaged by the Dominion, and later life with Garak and Julian. So far there are only three chapters and each one will make your heart ache. (*I don’t think I’ve actually rec’d “Notions,” which I need to fix because it is a-maz-ing.)
Complementing Baggage

I don’t at all involve myself in the whole “Deep Dish Nine” AU with the cast of DS9 in the world we know, a pizza shop, and all that, but somehow I got to reading this story and I really like it. Basically, to lay a parallel with the show, it’s a sort of post-”Wire” and post “Doctor Bashir I Presume” recovery story where Garak and Julian are trying to work out a lot of issues. For triggers (there are a few) read the story’s tags.
