Red headed Cardassians?

Based on the orange color and the massive jowls, I would wager this is a male iguana. I bring you this PSA simply because male and female behavior during breeding season is VERY different and the super-orange is a clue that this iggy is likely in season. Females can get restless and stop eating because they’re full of eggs and can’t hold food. Males can get aggressive and stop eating because they’re trying to fight the whole world. Don’t pick this guy up! (Obviously, each iguana is a unique individual - there are exceptions.)

I always do iguana PSAs not to be *that* person in a post but because I love these critters and want them to have good lives. They don’t make good pets (I have one that is almost 12) and a lot of people who get them don’t do enough research beforehand. Most pet iguanas don’t live past age one. Lots of males get dropped off at shelters & rescues because of how difficult they are during breeding season.

All of that aside, the topic of redheaded Cardassians deserves further exploration. Also, with Cardassians and hair color, I feel Ziyal needed mermaid hair. Because of reasons.
