So…. I guess this kinda belongs on both my Monster High blog and my non-MH doll blog ^^; I’ve been very into LOL Surprise dolls lately, and I got a duplicate of Jitterbug. I thought it would be fun to make her into an Operetta custom since she has a very appropriate hairstyle for Operetta.
I did a full body repaint to turn her purple. I don’t usually repaint entire dolls because the paint can chip off very easily. I wasn’t as concerned with this for an LOL though because they’re small and don’t have many points of articulation. I repainted her hair and face too. Painting her scars/birthmarks was difficult, and I had to simplify them a bit, but I think they turned out alright. i think it’s neat that an actual Operetta mask fit pretty well onto her face (I did trim a bit of it off though). I also repainted her dress and shoes (her dress was from It Baby).
