For a while in the beginning of the series, I was totally oblivious to what was going on between Garak and Bashir. At some point, I happened upon an interview with Siddig, Robinson, or both explaining what was really going on between the characters.
After that I remember watching this scene for the first time and thinking, “How did I miss that!?”
