It’s just - I’m no linguist, so if I want to actually have something written out properly and there are people who’ve walked this road before me, I may as well use what they’ve done! Especially when it comes to a written language which has been, like, seen on the screen, you know?
but then they give me three ways to write “ee” and no way to know which to use when? or possibly they have changed their minds halfway through? and then i have to make up a punctuation mark because otherwise in kardasi there is no way to make a soundless glottal stop? and i am frustrated because i must be reading this wrong, there must be a way to do that, but i am bejiggered if i can find out what it is??
and i don’t want to settle on something and then have to go back and change it, aaaaaaargh
