Set during the early season two three-parter which begins with the episode The Homecoming. Nerys is busy saving lives. Jadzia is surprised by how desperately she wants to protect her very capable partner.

These are excellent, excellent portrayals of a wounded, healing Kira Nerys. This is as she should have been, had the show taken a more realistic approach to the effects the occupation would have had on the Bajorans. Highly recommended.
