All right! /cracks knuckles

1) “What did you do in 2013 that you’d never done before?”

I wrote fanfic! Well, that’s not quite so: I wrote fanfic and put it up where people could actually see it. I’m enormously happy I did. I think it may have been the best thing I’ve done for myself in a long, long time.

12) “Whose behaviour merited celebration?”

My sister, who took care of her partner when he suffered some very scary life issues. My husband, who keeps the ship afloat every day. Lady Yate-Xel, who talked with me about things I was being obstreperous about and helped me to understand that I was being a bit of an obstinate asshole, or that there was more in heaven and earth than was dreamt of in my philosophy. All of you guys, who kind of enveloped me in this tumblr thing in a tremendously enjoyable way–I am very grateful. You’ve all done a lot for my philosophy too.

15) “What did you get really, really, really excited about?”

Um, yeah, that would be the fictional universe of Deep Dish Nine, which pretty much ate me alive. It’s a good thing I’m quite content to live in its belly. What a joyful thing that little ‘verse is!

16) “What song will always remind you of 2013?”

It’s a toss-up: either Ke$ha’s “C'mon” or her “Warrior”. Or that goddamned “Kingdom Burning Down” earworm that someone put me on to. All of them remind me of good things, and all of them make me smile.
