That sounds super ridiculous and extremely cute. The bear becomes a highly prized object, because when Elim Garak brings back something cute and weird, surely it’s not what it seems? Surely it contains datarods or encoded micro-signals? Surely it is not a fluffy bear?

And so, of course, it gets stolen, and when  Julian finally gets to Garak and demands, with flashing eye and shouting voice, to know where the hell his bear is, Garak is bent over a console, datalens tucked securely in eye socket, and he looks up and says with irritation, “What do you think I’m trying to find out?”

And then they team up to Rescue The Bear from the nefarious clutches of Gul Whatever and her team of Nefarious Evildoers~~

Or something.
