Inre taking off shoes: This is less a "Canada" thing than it is a "snowy climate" thing. Here in Wisconsin, it's also common to leave your shoes at the door, ESPECIALLY during the winter.

That makes sense. I mean, God knows what you might track in… and there’s very little that’s less pleasant than stepping in slush with sock feet.
