Sorrynotsorry to flood your asks, but have you finally listened to the GO radio adaptation? It was the reason I originally didn't want to see the series, because it's fucking gold. Mark Heap's Aziraphale is a gift from God herself, he's so passive aggressive at everything and not cute and soft at all, he would have survived hellfire all by himself, no body swap needed.

Headcanon: when phones were first becoming popular, Crowley got one and gave Aziraphale his number. Aziraphale didn’t quite get what it was for and tried to get ahold of him by using the number as part of a summoning ritual.
Further headcanon: Due to his bookishness, Aziraphale is really good at occult rituals, and actually succeeded in calling Crowley’s landline from a summoning circle
This makes perfect sense, and as Aziraphale refuses to carry a cell phone (because people would only CALL him on it), I headcanon that this is now how he contacts Crowley if away from the shop. Little tiny summoning circles drawn in three seconds on the side of a building with a glowing fingertip.
