Interviews with the cast and crew of DS9 about “Far Beyond the Stars”
A memo from Douglas Pabst above Rossoff’s desk reads “No one would believe that a cheerleader could kill vampires” – a reference to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a TV show which featured Armin Shimerman in a recurring role.

a) Brilliant interviews on a brilliant episode. I love the passion everyone clearly displays when they talk about the work they did here. I also love the reinforcement that the writers do the heavy lifting.
b) I am also delighted beyond reason that after DS9 finished, both Rene and Armin grew the most aggressive facial hair possible. God, that must have felt good. Rene should get an award. Jeepers, is that for a role?
Interviews with the cast and crew of DS9 about “Far Beyond the Stars”
Hmmm, this might just inspire a FBtS Garak/Bashir fic. (Garak, of course, being a “plain, simple tailor” of Russian ancestry who may or may not be running something nefarious through his shop… but Julius simply can’t resist the always smiling, always friendly, but very real mystery he presents… plus, Garak makes a mean glass of Turkish coffee.)
Does this sound like something anybody would be interested in reading? :)
I just found this but -

BENNY: What about my story?
DOUGLAS: Look, the way I see it, you can either burn it or stick it in a drawer for the next 50 years or however long it takes the human race to become color-blind.
BENNY: I want people to read it now.
DOUGLAS: Fine. You want me to print it? Make the captain white.
BENNY: That’s not what I wrote!
