New Method of Dialysis
A nanofiber mesh that can help filter the toxins in the blood has been developed. By using this new technology, it will make dialysis more portable, easier and faster.
Dialysis has become a fairly common procedure for patients, but it still requires them to spend hours in the hospital or clinics. In cases of emergencies and natural disasters, it becomes a problem because of the hard access to the dialysis location.
It still is in its earlier stages, and that means it will be years before we see it in full effect, but researchers hope to create a small enough device that can be worn on the arm to allow for constant portable purification of the patients’ blood.
