Summary:

Quark and Jadzia Dax take a little road trip. Nothing serious. Just a business transaction. Why Jadzia’s going, she has no idea… but Quark seems to think she’ll be useful, and what the hell, she’s got nothing else to do.

Just two people who like each other interacting and being doofs.

Set in the alternate universe of Deep Dish Nine.

She looks over at him, grins, “Like this,” and she pantomimes an obnoxious slurp—

“Yeah, yeah.” He’s smiling as he changes lanes, heads for the on-ramp. “Give me a slug juice any day.”

“You can have it.” Oh, don’t we— wonders Audrid, and no, we tried it once, says Emony, we really didn’t like it, and Curzon niggles, but don’t we love Ferengi now?, and Jadzia grins and says, “As much as I like Ferengi, I am never going to drink squeezed slug.”

Giny04 and I have been working on a little Deep Space Nine AU….

Campo Profundo - outside Madrid, circa 1933 just before the Civil War between the Leftist Republicans and the Fascist Nationalist Party.

• Benjamín Sisko
  Manchego, moved to Madrid before the war began and tensions started coming to a snapping point. He loves his father’s cooking and futbol.
• Jacobo Sisko (Lorca, jajaja)
  Manchego, 17 came with his father. Wants to be a poet and takes influence from the politics surrounding him.
• Milo Ocampo
  Gallego and a brilliant machinist. Married a Madrileña and settled in with El Partido when he found himself coming to odds with the Nationalists.
• Doctór Julian Bashía
  From a well-to-do family in Madrid, Julian became heavily involved in the Leftist movement when he studied medicine at the university. Declined his own practice as a doctor to actively support the Communist movement.
• Kira Nericoechea
  Vasca/Euskaldunak, whose religion is Basque Nationalism and main interest is in protecting Euskal Herria.
• Otto Itall
  American journalist caught up in the Republican movement and serving as voluntary security in the anti-fascist movement
• Ezri Tiguez
  The epitome of a Murciana, kind and eager to join the fray, but enters later in the game.
• Jadzia Daxez
  A brilliant student from Sevilla, who’s more commonly known by her name as it connects her to her Life of the Party father, Curzon Daxez.
• Ivan Garin - Иван Гарин
  Trotskyite ex-spy from Communist Russia, current tailor with a shop in the main plaza in the pueblo of Campo Profundo
• Mesón de Quark
  The most popular bar on the plaza, run by two brothers from Catalán, Quark and Rom, and often Rom’s son Nog.
