The suave, confident former spy circles the young ingenue and smiles knowingly, keeping intense eye contact. The flustered ingenue, hands fluttering in confusion, stammering, blushes in shy response to the unexpected attention — a physically awkward specimen in contrast to the direct stare and teasing verbal innuendoes of the physically demonstative older man. Watching their introduction in “Past Prologue,” it is evident that Garak made an early, immediate attempt to seduce Julian Bashir and the pooor doctor didn’t know what to make of it!
