Awwww, Bertie as the idiot scion of a well-to-do Trill family, who pulled some strings to get him Joined in the hopes it would improve him. Which it has. They think. He dresses better, anyway. And he gets himself into just as much trouble, but then he gets out of it. And he’s weirdly, wistfully happy all the time. And also argues with himself.

“I’d like to wear my purple stockings today… oh, but I wouldn’t bally hear of it, would I? No, no indeed, sedate grey it is. With perhaps a pink tie? Yes! Yes, I will wear the pink tie, and I’ll like it!”
