there’s a few extra doodles and a lot of rambling underneath the cut (more rambling than drawing, tbh). i have a number of other doodles that i’m not including in here because they’re more related with each other and will probably be put in their own post? EDIT: As it’s been awhile since I’ve posted this, I’m removing the cut (for displaying purposes on my blog). If anyone else goes and reblogs directly from here, they are of course welcome to add a cut themselves if they want.

regarding the first picture: while i don’t doubt that they’re probably both very gifted in their respective areas, given that most depictions of wizards are of really old people I’m sort of loving the idea of them still being pretty clueless or inexperienced in some areas of magic. like doing an awful job of brewing a complicated potion because their long wizard-y beards haven’t grown in yet, or something
(also what if different kinds of healing potions tended to require different sorts of ingredients? maybe julian is used to needing tree roots and rare, beautiful mountain flower pollen for healing potions, and then when he goes to help jadzia with her invisibility and transfiguration potions he finds himself going NOPE at all the newt eyes and goblin nosehair.

everyone’s outfits seem to change every time i draw them but to be fair i’m sure even people in fantasy rpgs are allowed a change of clothes or two
(also jadzia is a wizard i should mention that probably)
(and i have a lot of weird conflict-y feelings about what kind of healer julian is and also the nature of magic in whatever universe this is [most seem to have the healers as a holy class but julian’s one of those people i have a hard time seeing as religious?? i’m sure arcana can be used for healing purposes, but i went and figured out differences between the origin and usage of divine power vs arcana-magic because …well, because])
regarding the second picture: I REALLY LIKE THE IDEA OF KIRA AMBUSHING PEOPLE FROM TREES?? that’s how i want her to meet sisko + the gang

so apparently in final fantasy there’s a Machinist class (in case you haven’t noticed, i’m not really sticking to any rpg here haha i’m bringing in classes from e v e r y w h e r e) (also i will admit right now that i’m shamelessly stealingt the idea of Machinist!O’Brien from misereremei)? In which case YES GOOD CAUSE I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT O’BRIEN WOULD BE OTHERWISE (well, given that in canon he spent time as a soldier I can imagine him being a former fighter/paladin [starfleet would be like entirely composed of paladins, c’mon. and god, can you imagine anyone more well-suited to being a paladin than picard], who decided to give that nonsense up for tinkering). and apparently the Machinist class is really good against undead, so I want zombie-crushing!o’brien. maybe blowing up zombies is how these two become bffs in this universe, who knows
also why are spell-casters’ robes so fancy? is it that to make up for the fact that they’re sort of useless protection-wise?

sisko is a paladin/reluctant invoker type (first time i read the class description for invoker i thought SISKO and so the au seeds were sown) and omg i’m sorry sisko but i hate drawing heavy armour so imagine that as being bigger and cooler looking than what i drew, haha. in other news: jake’s a bard! i don’t see him adventuring with his old man, i think he probably hangs around quark’s tavern most of the time.
he probably should be in all PITCH BLACK but that’s not that fun to colour ┐(´◡`；)┌ also, garak’s a rogue or whatever, and because garak isn’t garak if he’s not hiding something, i’ll mention that i’m also a fan of misereremei’s idea of him using that as a ruse and actually being a dark knight (or he could be the cloth/armour dealer/tailor and be hiding the fact that he’s a rogue, but in rpg land i imagine it’s not quite as scandalous to be a rogue as it is in star trek-land)
a bashir-healing-garak scene feels like it’d be obligatory but idk how to go about that so this is here to let y’all know that i tried. sort of.
i felt like there was going to be more drawings in here, oh well
oh and i just noticed there’s no odo or worf here, oops
i feel weird giving odo a class, given that he already has shapeshifting abilities seem and that seems like it could fill the role of class just fine. THAT BEING SAID evillordzog brought up that in Fantasy Craft they have a Emissary (hah) class, which is a detective class? and as far as i’m concerned, odo in an investigating role = ding ding ding we have a winner (but how do police/investigators/general-law-upholders even fit in to rpg worlds in general, i have no idea)
i still have no idea how to dress him, though. i toyed with the idea of something fairly Female Changeling Chic for about two seconds before tossing that out the window
AND WORF!! would you be surprised if i said he’d be a warrior. though i dunno if want him to be a klingon among humans or actually raised with klingons. but even with the former, i dress him more klingon-y if only for the fact that it would probably mean drawing less gigantic plate armor.
