So, it’s a normal day at Deep Dish Nine. Odo got some new furniture and Kira is helping him arrange it in his apartment. Ziyal is still crushing on Garak. Plenty of business. The aroma of fresh pizza follows the passing citizens of Alpha City everywhere. It’s all good.
The first sign of trouble occurs when Sisko receives a phone call from an unknown number (it’s a crappy home phone from the 80’s, no Caller ID) in his office. The caller refuses to tell Sisko who he is. All he does is insist that he must speak to Garak. 15 minutes later, Sisko finally hangs up after yelling at him to call Garak’s phone, and stop harassing random businesses. But the unknown caller continues to call non-stop for the next hour, blocking calls from customers, so Sisko finally gives in and calls Garak to his office.
