Companion piece to Aziraphale

I came up with a headcanon about Aziraphale’s angelic accents and decided I needed to do some art for Crowley’s demonic ones! Considering he’s a shapeshifter, I like to think that Crowley frequently has some little patch of scales on him at any given time, particularly along his lower back and spine.

When he gets flustered I like to think the patch expands, maybe to more visible parts of him, as he has to fight the urge to turn into a snake and slither away to hide from his emotions. It’s not easy to work him up into that state, but if anyone can manage it, it’s his angel ;)

Anger can set his scales off too, but that’s even less common. Crowley’s quite used to feeling angry, after all, and is better able to control the shift because of that.

((Az quite likes slipping a hand up under Crowley’s shirt to stroke the scales right at the base of his spine; smooth as silk and cool to the touch. This just flusters crowley so he winds up with a growing patch of scales until they’re all the way up to the back of his neck where Az can press a little kiss to them |D ))

oh look it's my special interest I'm sure i can do something with this crowley ficseed frick now i have to learn snake anatomy

Happy Thanksgiving, Your Bird Probably Had A Beard!

It’s not just hipsters out with beards this Thanksgiving season, but also the turkeys you may be eating- if it’s a male! Male turkeys feature a “beard” of modified, hairlike, feathers. This is an example of sexual dimorphism- differences in characteristics between genders. Another example of this in turkeys is size, with males much larger. Curiously, some populations feature a few females with beards too!

More fun Thanksgiving info!
