I’m probably not the only one to think that “Gargoyles” would make an excellent live action/CGI series; the stories, plots, and characterisation were a great deal more mature than the usual cartoon show of the period, and had very good writers (not just us!) working on it.

OH WOW

Stephanie Min, who blogs about her cross stitch creations over on Cross Stitch Tycoon, really knows how to win over my Geekadelphian heart… with classic LucasArts stitch projects.

Her recent piece, shows off Purple Tentacle from Day of the Tentacle, in his famous “I feel like I could… take over the world!” scene.

Best part about this stitching project, is that you too can create your own piece. Stephanie’s uploaded the pattern to her site. Just head over and “Save As” to download.

There was once a very great American surgeon named Halsted. He was married to a nurse. He loved her-immeasurably. One day Halsted noticed that his wife’s hands were chapped and red when she came back from surgery. And so he invented rubber gloves. For her. It is one of the great love stories in medicine. The difference between inspired medicine and uninspired medicine is love.
When I met Ana I knew:
I loved her to the point of invention.
