In regards to Andrew Robinson not blinking, some actors have made note of something Michael Caine said about it in acting seminars and a book. Caine said your character appears stronger if you say your lines without blinking. Though it can come across as creepy like the boy in the Toaster Strudel commercials. He looks like he's there to recruit people into some sort of Bavarian cult.
I can definitely see that. He does bring the scary when he’s wide-eyed and unblinking.
He does it even when he’s trying to be playful flirtatious Garak, too. Maybe it’s just to intimidate Bashir. :D
Does Dukat do it? Or not do it, I should say? Does Damar?
sorry that sounds awful. Imagine McCoy giving them a dressing-down for being a shit with his best ‘WTF BRO, NOT IMPRESSED’ face. And then they have to scrub the bulkheads with a toothbrush or something.
Don’t know if this will help but I remember once hearing that doctors are more prone than others to die in accidents as private pilots as their arrogance causes them to make bad decisions.
Amending that last reply - not only could Nog have gone to Jeeves for help to get back his confidence but then Jeeves could’ve been the one to help Odo with advice on romancing Nerys!
Having just watched “His Way”, may I say that I would absolutely prefer that the whole thing had been brought off as one of Jeeves’s perfect little schemes.
Imagine in DS9 if they had used Jeeves and Wooster as the basis for one of Bashir’s holosuite programs rather than James Bond. Then they might not have gotten nasty cease and desist letters for the episode.
Did you ever read "I, Q" by John de Lancie? I don't remember much of it as I read it years ago but it was mildly amusing. There was one part where he gave a nice nod to The Princess Bride as Wallace Shawn played Vizzinie in the movie as well as the Grand Nagus from DS9. At one point, the Nagus is telling someone, "You made one of two classic blunders...," but the blunders were Star Trek oriented.
You know, I think I did, but I don’t think it stuck…?
Now, “Q-Squared”–that I really enjoyed. With Trelane as the baby Q? Loved it.
We are about positivity here. DO interact if: you were a reading level slower than average in elementary school, sucked your thumb until a little too old, have a mental illness that wasn’t diagnosed until your 20s or older, prefer small dogs over big dogs, your favorite color isn’t your favorite to wear, played with squinkies, have an oral fixation, arugula is your favorite lettuce, fucking LOVE eggs, used to hate boba but now love it, used to love boba but now hate it, actually kinda liked high school but only a little, haven’t seen that one movie everyone always says you should watch (you know the one)
