ODO!!
Hee hee hee hon hon hon!
It always amuses me that I loved this song/character, and the character of Odo, completely separately, without even remotely associating them. I think I found out Rene Auberjonois played the Chef in 2002. It blew my mind.
As he blocked the scene in which Rom and Quark tussle on the floor in Ishka’s living room, Auberjonois placed the bowl [of fruit] where it would be sure to fall to the ground during the tumult. By luck, the impacted fruit flew directly at the camera, as if on cue. “I didn’t know it would turn out so wonderfully.” He grins. “If it had been 3-D, it would have been great!”

There needs to be an emoticon for sheer, unrestrained delight.
“It was a little complex, because I had to be both Odo and Curzon Dax. That was tricky, but it was fun.” However, Auberjonois thought of Curzon as “swashbuckling, almost a Cyrano character. His nose was so prominent, and he was such a rake.”

All pics from Memory Alpha. Fascinating!
Part two of Rene Auberjonois talking about early-season Odo. I love how he awkwardly says he wasn’t really a Trek-errrrr… An understatement, no doubt!
Rene Auberjonois talking about early-season Odo. Bonus: he’s in full Odo makeup, but Odo ain’t in there - he’s speaking in his normal voice, and his body language is completely his own. Amazing to see how much of Odo is constructed purposefully.
