Let’s talk about chufas. (Yet another Cardassian headcanon post…)

teroknortailor

So we all know that the forehead ridge is called a chufa, right? Well, that chufa is rather like a chakra, holding a Cardassian’s intellectual energy.

The similarly shaped chest ridge, notably seen on Natima Lang, is called a chula and is the center of a Cardassian’s emotional energy. Most Cardassians, especially males, keep this area covered to avoid looking vulnerable and sensitive.

The third ridge like this is the chuva, located right above a Cardassian’s pelvic opening (both male and female, as everything is internal), and is the center of sexual energy, obviously.

All three of these ridges contain nerve clusters with the least sensitive being the chufa and the most sensitive being the chuva.

Stimulation of these three areas is integral to mating and courtship rituals, with a chufa touch being like a kiss, a chula touch being comparable to a heavy makeout sesh, and a chuva touch meaning things are getting pretty ~serious~ (if you know what I mean…).

What I’ve learned about aliens from Star Trek by reading Star Trek fanfic:

  • Every species finds humans who conform to traditional human standards of beauty attractive.
  • On any species with ridges, scales, pointy ears, antennae, or other inhuman features, those features will invariably be extremely sensitive (or outright erogenous zones), regardless of how feasible that might be given their stated function and/or their placement.
  • Most species have a mating season that induces violent passion
  • Two words: delicious semen
  • Retractable and/or self-lubricating penises are de rigueur.
  • Even if the males of a species are unattractive by human standards, the females will be at least moderately sexy.
  • All species are sexually compatible with humans.
  • All species are sexually compatible with humans.

I think Humans are just sexually compatible with all species. We are the sluts of the universe. (no slut-shaming; everybody loves that about Humans)

Also, erogenous zones - I know, right? If Cardassian ridges are erogenous zones, why does their armour leave them exposed, they could get punched there, wouldn’t that be like getting smacked in the balls?

Host trill are a marsupial species, as evidenced by the transverse abdominal slit that the symbiont is inserted to in an early episode of Deep Space Nine. When in development, an infant Trill is transferred into the pouch and bonds with the parent in a similar way to the symbiont of a joined...
