Your problem is that you can’t appreciate good chocolate. If you were cultured enough, evolved enough, to properly digest the chocolate, well, you wouldn’t have had a problem, would you? Really, the fault is entirely on your side. If you were only capable of truly understanding what this chocolate did for you, you’d build it a goddamned statue.
Well, I obviously assumed that it would be as high-quality as the deluvian chocolate I normally consume. I regret to say that I could not have been more wrong.
Don’t get me wrong. When you first eat the chocolate it’s very sweet, overpowering, convincing. It’s not until later when you start to experience the side-effects. Of course some traitors, collaborators, people will argue that chocolate is chocolate and it doesn’t really matter the quality or quantity. They will buy it anyway, largely due to misleading commercials. Eventually though, anyone with some sense in them will resist fight reject Dukat chocolate and recognise it for the slimy dictatorial bad chocolate that it is.
Captain Sisko is right, you really are in love with the taste of your own chocolate.
