As may be obvious Una McCormack is my favourite Garak writer, and I think this is the book where he's most like he is in the show. Not that I don't love post-canon Cardassia to pieces, but there's a lot of character development between the end of DS9 and, say, The Crimson Shadow. Can’t wait. Random page flipping has yielded me a Garak who is in one sentence astonished by swans and in the very next bitching that Starfleet security didn’t break any of his fingers. You know. To show they’re serious.

This is very, very promising~!
