I set out to draw a more reptilian Cardassian and so that’s what I did. I think the reason I dont draw much Star Trek fanart is this “everyone looks too humany and it’s boring” thing. But toss in a few more animaly bits and presto! I could draw it all day long!
Features: horns, tail, digitigrade legs because reasons, more scales and internal sexual organs for both sexes and NO MAMMARY GLANDS OMG (lizards should not have boobs i mean seriously). Generally taller than humans/bajorans. Also thinking about how to do the eyes once there’s a more up close pic, we shall see if they change.
Oh and my version is totally not able to get Bajorans pregnant, I mean that’s just absurd.
So now I want to actually adapt Garak into this style ha ha and redesign the Cardassian military uniform onto it. And maybe Garak’s watermelon outfit.
